As 2025 winds down, we’ve been taking a moment to catch our breath and look back at the last 12 months.
Usually, this is the time of year when businesses drop snooze-inducing reports packed with spreadsheets and profit margins. While we love data as much as the next brand, we realised something crucial this year. The metrics that truly define our community aren’t measured in just kilometres or kilowatts. They’re measured in moments.
This is more than just a year in review. This is a high-five and a celebration of the human (and canine) moments that made 2025 special.
The heavy lifting (for the planet)
Before we get to the fun stuff, let’s celebrate the serious impact you’ve had on our shared home. It’s truly, bloody awesome what we can achieve when we ditch four wheels for two.
In 2025, our community collectively saved 1,167 tonnes (that’s over 1.1 million kg) of CO2 from entering the atmosphere.
That’s roughly the air-cleaning work of a forest of 58,000 trees working full-time for a year! That is a massive breath of fresh air for our cities. Cheers to you for joining the movement and here’s to many more rides to come!
Our year in review: where the magic happened
Saving the planet is what we’re here for. But, let’s be honest: on a rainy Tuesday morning in November, you aren’t thinking about atmospheric carbon. You’re thinking about getting the kids to school on time without losing your mind, or simply getting home in time for dinner.
So, here are the fun stats that made 2025 our favourite year yet. (Rest assured, our data gathering is 100% non-creepy. We don’t have algorithms tracking your exact speed or how many times you checked your phone at a red light—just a few mechanics finding lost socks during services.)

The number of mechanics who found at least one stray toy dinosaur, a soggy sock, or a Vegemite sandwich lodged in a pannier pocket. We salute you. To our riders: You kept riding while we handled the grease, the flat tyres, and the weird noises. Here’s to another year of us doing the dirty work so you don’t have to.

The approx number of car trips our community replaced in 2025. That’s a million stressful car trips swapped for fresh air, “I spy” and the freedom of the bike lane. To the kids who sang all the way to daycare and the office heroes who soaked in the views all the way to work, we loved seeing your joy per kilometre absolutely peak this year.

The collective distance we pedalled our Lug+Carries this year with an average distance of 1500km each. That’s the equivalent of lapping Australia 185 times. Go you good things!

The length of the traffic jam we collectively removed from our roads every day this year, making our communities safer, quieter and happier for everyone.

The number of days Melbourne decided to be, well, Melbourne this year. While others stayed inside, Melburnians donned their poncho and proved that we’re not made of sugar. To the dad we saw singing in the rain while poncho-clad in a downpour on Brunswick Street—your vibes are immaculate.

The money our customers collectively saved by skipping the petrol pump this year. They kept their hard-earned cash where it belongs—in their pocket. Enough to fill a lot of stockings (or buy a serious amount of Christmas mince pies. We don’t judge).

The number of flappy ears cruising down the bike lane. Your furry co-pilots enjoyed the best smells in the neighbourhood and record-breaking levels of wind-in-fur joy. Honestly, it’s the best stat we have.
Rolling into 2026
So, whether you rode 10 kilometres or 1,000 in 2025, thank you. Every time you saddled up, you made our streets a little quieter, our air a little cleaner, and our community a whole lot happier. We can’t wait to see what adventures we get up to together in 2026.
